At Oakridge Community Primary School;

  • We ensure that Teaching and Learning opportunities meet the needs of all our pupils.
  • We recognise that there are many benefits to ensuring that all the children participate in sports or other physical activities;
    • Develops strength, mobility and physical endurance
    • Supports the establishment of healthy lifestyles for life
    • Helps in weight control, especially important in the light of the current levels of childhood obesity.
    • Develop team work and social skills
    • Develop friendships
    • Develop listening skills
    • Have fun!
    • Our intention is to use the additional funding in four ways;

1 – To broaden our provision to offer a wider range of activities

2 – To up skill staff so that provision is sustainable and broader in the future

3 – To enhance sporting experiences for all children

4 – To have easily accessible good quality resources.
