School uniform

All children’s clothing should be clearly marked with their names. The emphasis on uniform, with the appropriate school colours, is to ensure that all our pupils feel part of our school team, look smart, and do not place too much emphasis on clothing styles and values. Some aspects, such as footwear styles, are for health and safety reasons as well as the above.

Oakridge Primary (10) Our uniform comprises of:

  • Maroon jumper, fleece or cardigan (with or without school logo). School fleeces may be worn for outdoor use only, except in winter when they may be worn indoors.
  • Black or grey trousers (not leggings or jeans)
  • Black or grey skirt or pinafore dress
  • Maroon checked dress
  • Black or grey school shorts.
  • White polo shirt (with or without school logo)/shirt or blouse
  • Black shoes without high heels or large logos

Sport at Oakridge

Our PE kit comprises of:

  • A white t-shirt or polo shirt.
  • Black shorts, jogging bottoms, leggings or a skort.
  • A plain or school logoed red sweatshirt or hoody.
  • Black trainers or plimsolls.

Children also make frequent use of the outdoor areas in and around the school grounds and so should have sensible footwear and appropriate outerwear (eg coat, hat, gloves) every day.

All jewellery, including watches, must be removed for PE lessons for health and safety reasons. Earrings must either be removed or, if they can’t be removed during the initial period after piercing, must be covered with sterile tape. This must either be done by the child themselves or by the parent at home, to reduce the risk of injury to the child or others.
